hate to redirect the conversation as I've never made caps, but I have made "epoxy substitutes" by mixing superglue and cotton, or superglue and sodium
bicarbonate, to fill in a gap. It's worth mentioning that it gets hot while curing, sometimes even smokes, and there's videos of it
on YouTube, supposedly auto igniting. Not sure how much of a risk there is in your setup, probably negligible but it would be nice to know how hot it
actually gets. |
