Distinguishing between coatings and surface treatments

This part came out of a Haake Rheometer. As far I can see it’s a single Machined aluminium part but with three really distinctly different surfaces, I’ve photographed the two surfaces that are unique (the third being being what is just common al machined surface.
The shiny one almost appears like an applied foil and the darker grey one is very thick.
Does anyone have an insight into these surfaces?

The shiny surface looks like regular machined aluminum to me, possibly anodized. The dark one could be anything but I'm guessing some sort of paint.

It looks like a casting. The grey coloured surface looks like an as cast surface meaning no treatment or coating.

I would also guess a casted part that were machined on a lathe.
If one zooms in on the rim of the shiny top surface (not the bottom widest flange), one can see the tool markings left from each turn on the lathe.
Aluminium parts sometimes are anodized but i would guess its just bare aluminium surfaces where its shiny.
If the shiny parts were anodized i dont think you would see the faint tool markings, also anodized surfaces looks great but every scratch made after anodization is highly visible.
