filter for iodine

Hello
searching some 3m filter for iodine. for example, 6002 used for chlorine. Can it be used for iodine fumes? There are not so much data i found.

Probably,maybe. Iodine isn't that bad fumewise. It's rather tame when compared to cl2 or bromine. I imagine if it stops one halogen it stops the other two.all bets are off when it comes to flourine though as it's a completely different animal.

The real problem is that i have ~100g of iodine stored in not well suitable 500 ml glass bottle with plastic(dont know material) cap. Its not my choice to store that way but now i have to deal with it somehow and the problem is that it makes a lot of fumes inside because bottle is too big for that amount.

Is there any way how i can SAFELY open it and replace bottle/neutralize?
I dont have fume hood right now. Maybe open area?

Help please.

You will be fine in an open area.
