There are many conventions held for different things like comic con, Animecon, and a sifi convention. The conventions highlight what's going on in the
respective interests.
If we had a virtual fan convention for amature chemistry.
How would this be done what would it look like or how would it be organised.

I like the concept although I have no idea what it might look like in practice.
I seriously doubt however that there is the population base for an idea like this to gain traction.draculic acid69 - 25-1-2021 at 04:18
Sounds awesome in theory. In reality I agree that the numbers just wouldn't be thereFyndium - 25-1-2021 at 09:34

Then there are those who like the idea, but wish to stay faceless due to various reasons.SuperOxide - 29-1-2021 at 18:21
Great idea! I wonder how many people would be interested in this. I've gone to Comic Con and Defcon, I would absolutely go to this type of convention.Chemetix - 29-1-2021 at 22:03
The creative in me wants this so bad. The costumes the overpriced food the interview and question sessions. But it must contain the Mad Science
element (pun intended)so you'd need someone like John Kenneth Hutchison to headline. Awards that would go something like best scientific contribution
made with Steampunk technology. Best evil genius WMD. A whole section dedicated to demonstrating violations of known laws. There would be so much
glorious Kook and then the stellar performances of real back yard amateur genius. Yeah! This would be epic. So you'd book a small town gymnasium to
begin with and slowly grow, eventually this would have to held in abandoned air force base in Lithuania or a hollowed out volcano in Ecuador.
