I thought I would share my latest project
I am using electrochemical machining to make microfluidic devices. I am operating at less than one percent efficiency and am still able to slice right
through steel a few microns a second. If I were to use less current, a less concentrated solution of saline, and a thinner electrode, then I could
maybe mill channels a few microns wide.
I am also looking into capillary tube versions of this process.
