Hello fellows
I am looking for a synthesis writeup for reineckes salt. I know it's fusing ammonium thiocyanate and ammonium dichromate . I really want a detailed
explanation.if anyone have a link or writeup please provide

This I had seen. I didn't quite understand the part where it says about dissolving in ice and then boiling water. That part I didn't understand

The insoluble material is saved after the ice water wash. This removes more soluble impurities. The solid is then dissolved in prewarmed water,
heated back to 60C, hot filtered and cooled immediately. Hydrolysis is rapid at high temperatures, the prewarmed water is to reduce the time it
spends at elevated temperatures, but 60C is needed to ensure good solubility for crystallization.
