Solvents for organic peroxides (?)

Since dissolving in Toluene appears to be a relatively safe method to dispose of TATP, I was wondering if there's any practical use and/or other solvents allowing safe storage.

Here's an old patent I've found on the issue: https://patents.google.com/patent/US2133733A/en

"This invention relates to aldehyde and ketone peroxides and deals with new compositions of matter comprising these peroxides suitably wetted to reduce their explosiveness and render them capable of safe handling, transportation and storage."

What do you guys think, and has anyone run experiments on suitable solvents for the various peroxides yet?

yes, it will hydrolyze
and you can try it yourself and you'll see - gone within days, as in completely
TATP in e.g. toluene is stable, but it needs to be recrystalized and dried + the toluene itself needs to be dry

A ton of water and flushing it through the drain also works.

As far as I'm aware, there are several industrial uses for organic peroxides, such as tert-butyl hydroperoxide, involving organic solvents.

Are you sure that HMTD/TATP are that much less stable in solution?
oh well, if nothing else, I suppose it's a convenient method of disposal.

I tried it with TATP - gone as predicted... actly, within a day, HMTD is (from common solvents) only soluble in chloroform - slightly - and those long crystals tend to detonate on their own = i.e. useless even if you manage to get some nice crystals out
