I'm reading an old document that refers to its units as parts and I'm unsure how to convert these to moles/grams/ml
It speaks about 106 parts ethanol, 2 parts glacial acetic acid, 5 parts catalyst etc, etc...
Would anyone be able to clarify this?

parts by weight

You have a recipe with "parts" -- which basically boils down to a ratio -- presumably a ratio by mass. (Ratio by volume is also possible if all
quantities are liquids -- which is what happens in cocktail recipes.)
Unfortunately, you cannot convert this to a specific mass since no mass information is given.
You can specify your own total mass and then use the ratio to work out a mass for each component. Then convert to moles at your leisure.
