Here a rough first version of the copper/ascorbic mediated reduction of styphnic acid to styphnamic acid and some properties of the corresponding
diazo derivative. Ha! Another obscure diazoquinone bites the dust!
Thoughts, ideas, criticism welcome Input on the most likely mechanism by which
the cupric/ascorbic mediated reduction works would be especially appreciated.
