Video: "Elephant toothpaste" with potassium permanganate

This is the last video I had recently filmed, it is about the experiment of decomposition of hydrogen peroxide.( it is a series)

However, I use permanganate instead of potassium iodide.

These are great videos - but it would be nice to see a different reaction!

Thanks, I will probably make the same reaction with Potassium iodide too.(some day)
and of course, much larger in scale.

That was a good one, too.
I've enjoyed your videos and I think I'll try them out too :)

It also might be a good idea to add other types of reactions. E.g. formation of precipitates, or changes of color on a larger scale than test tube can look very interesting (all kinds of patterns in the liquids, which are moving in an intriguing way). Formation and flow of colored gases also can look very interesting (this kind of things, however, requires a good fume hood, because all colored gases I know of are very toxic).

There's a good point, NaOH(aq) dripped into ZnCl2(aq) or FeCl2 makes pretty colours - Only found that out recently myself. N00b win :)

I will give a try on such Redox reaction very soon!
