I have a few more items that I have found recently:

1000 ml amber wide mouth HDPE Nalgene bottles - brand new - These sell elsewhere for $10 apiece but I have 2 packages of 6 that I will sell for $2 per bottle or $10 per package of 6 (plus postage). See below

I also have some white plastic containers with black phenolic screw tops, they are also HDPE, about 40 oz, diameter is 80 mm, height is 130 mm. I would sell these for $2 each. I believe that they were intended to be secondary containment for shipping small chemical bottles. But they are great for solids, powders, holding septa or other small parts, nails, screws, etc. They should be OK for liquids, but they are not ideal for them. I have a few dozen of these.

I am now out of most 24/40 single joint rbfs, still have a few evaporating flasks and a few 3 necks in 24/40. I have one or two coil condensers left in 24/40, for $25, which I recently found, some addition funnels, and lots of odd adapters, but running out of much in 24/40.

I do still have a number of 14/20 flasks and pieces, which I just updated the inventory of, so if you are interested in 14/20, this is the time to act, as I am just starting to run out of those in a few larger sizes. But I am out of most of the adapters and condensers needed for a complete kit. I do still have some adapters and more esoteric pieces. If people want to buy multiples of one flask or a mix of many flasks, I am very willing to make deals.

I am also running out of crystallizing dishes and beakers, but still have lots of filter flasks, smaller erlenmeyers, and much more. Please see the attached file for the most current list.

I am not sure if the Nalgene bottles are autoclavable. I have a few varieties, most of these are made of polypropylene, PP. If the Nalgene site says that there standard Boston round PP bottles are autoclavable, then I would expect all of these to be as well. If you know that some types are autoclavable, I can try to find those types in my collection or find a comparable one. But I Googled a couple types of bottles I have had and the specs say that they can be autoclaved, with the lid loose (so it does not stick shut, I believe).

I am considering to throw away the tripods because they are rusty, the other items can certainly be useful to someone.

I have shipped a number of items to Canada. For packages less than 4 pounds, it is pretty easy, simple customs with no issues so far, and costs about $16-20 for 4 pounds. For packages over that, it gets more expensive per pound until it is over about 10 or 12 pounds, plus there is more paperwork and customs possible issues, although most people have not reported any serious delays (usually under a month).

My main issue is that they are rough on packages during this handling, so that adds to the problem, and there is no practical insurance for international mail, so either I have to charge a little extra for that risk and replace what breaks for free (self insured), which I have done, or you have to accept that some items may break, which I try to avoid.

For example, I had one person who wanted a large order of large fragile items, but wanted to keep the shipping very low, so I tried to pack things in as few boxes as possible to keep the overall costs down, and several items of a large order were broken, due to visibly rough handling (dents in boxes). So I replaced about half of the broken glass for free, but that is not a good option for anyone. So the best solution is to mostly buy smaller things or less fragile stuff, as they are easy to ship internationally, or be willing to pay to cost for well padded and packed items.

I need to update the list and report, I'll do that this weekend if I can. I have sold a lot of stuff in the lat month, so a few more items are running out.

Here is a more recent list. I have run out of a few more items, such as 500 ml grad cyl, 1000 ml 3 necks flasks, and a few crystallizing dishes. But there is still a lot left. Here is the latest list. I also have a couple of Corning PC-320 stirring hotplates I just found that work OK, but are a bit dirty. I am asking $90 for each.

Just found 2 more 2L sep funnels with Teflon stopcocks BUT the drip tips are broken off most or all of the way. They would be $40, due to the damage. Otherwise they are good condition, with stopper and stopcock.

Also just found more new 4 and 8 ml vials in packages of 144, with black phenolic caps with rubber liners.

I also keep finding more small volumetric flasks, I have lots from 2 to 25 ml, and a few larger ones left as well.

I have a bag full of plastic scint vials (maybe about 100), Anyone, make me an offer. I have a few loose glass ones, but I don't think I have any boxes of 100 left, although I am not sure. I do have some other 4 and 6 dram glass vials (16 and 24 ml) left with black phenolic caps, I need to create pricing for them, I just found more, and haven't priced them yet.

Here are some of the fritted funnels I have left. The sizes range from 15 ml to 350 ml (volume of the top part). I have simple funnels, as well as 14/20 and 24/40 jointed ones. The frits are F, M and C. I have most frit porosity types in most sizes and styles, but not all. These photos DO NOT include the larger or longer ones, including the ones meant for chromatography, which I am still trying to organize. I have several more boxes of these available, some of those are dirtier or larger. I also have some smaller buchners, glass frits and other odd pieces, most are listed in the spreadsheet.

Many of these are Chemglass, some are Pyrex, Ace or other US brands. But most are the same dimensions as shown in the Chemglass specs (see below for links). No crappy imported ones. Pricing is in the inventory list spreadsheet.

If you want an assortment of sizes or types, I am willing to give a discount on the prices listed in the spreadsheet based on the number wanted. I even have a couple larger ones still new in the box (for more, of course). If you want better photos, please send me a u2u with an email address that I can send photos to, or email me at craigslistinnc at gmail.com and I will reply with my real email (get too much spam there).

Here are some 14/20 items left still. First is a small kit of remaining 14/20 dist adapters, accessories, and flasks. Then I have some still heads, simple medium length condenser head and other bits, a vacuum jacketed dist. head, a smaller head, and a distillation fraction collector (bull type) for 4 flasks. I can add items to the 14/20 kits if someone is interested but I am running out of many items like simple 14/20 condensers. Pricing is thus: kit of 14/20 flasks and adapters - $80 including a short path. The 14/20 still heads are $40 and $50 for the 100 or 250 ml size. The simple medium path is $30, the fritted 14/20 column is $15, the vac jacket dist head is $100, the medium sized head (4th photo) is $60, and the bull type fraction collector is $40 (w/o flasks, or $50 with 4 rb flasks).

Here are some odd flasks that I have left for sale.

a) 2 1000 ml 3 necks with center 34/45 joints and side 24/40 joints. Both are worn a bit, the right one has a chip on the center joint. Right one is $20 left one is $15.

b) 1000 ml rbf w/ 3 29/42 joints - the center joint comes with bonus free 14/20 adapter stuck in it. This would be $10, you might be able to get the joint out, stopper it, or just use it as is.

c & d) 1000 ml FLAT bottom flask with all 24/40 joints. $20 NOT for vacuum use, but might be OK for gentle heating. Not sure what this is ideal for, but nearly new condition. Ace Glass brand. c) shows it sitting on its own d) shows bottom view.

e) 1000 ml 3 neck with all 24/40 joints, vertical joints. In good shape, last 1L 3 neck with all 2/40 joints. Ace glass $20

Here are the 2 and 3 L flasks

a & b) 2000 ml 1 neck 29/42 - Chemglass brand, VERY thick glass, NOT suitable for heating with a flame, only a heating mantle or oil bath. - $12

c) 2000 ml 3 neck with center 34/45 joint, side 29/42 joints Repaired by Chemglass, a star crack was fixed. $25

d) 2000 ml 3 neck with center 34/45 joint, side 29/42 joints. $25

e) 3000 ml 1 neck with 29/42 joint. One is Chemglass, other looks like Ace or similar brand. Both are VERY thick glass, NOT suitable for heating with a flame, only a heating mantle or oil bath. $18 each.

Note: I am currently out of 24/40 to 29/42 adapters, trying to find any left, but I won't likely find any more.

And lastly, here are a few odd things I found while looking for other things.

a) a few more flat bottomed flasks. One 500 ml (6$), 3 250 ml (5$) and one 125 ml (4$)

b) A 3000 ml beaker, with 2 very small chips on the lip (right rear). Otherwise great condition. I think they could both be fixed either with some extra fine sand paper (the black SiC stuff) or a very minor flame polishing. $10

c) Two enormously long west condensers. One is 600 mm ($35) the shorter is only 500 mm ($30). These were mixed in with columns that I was sorting through recently. They will not be trivial to ship, so please realize that the shipping may cost extra due to the length of these.

Just to update people, I have sold the 2 PC-320 stirring hotplates now, and have quite a few offers on the recently posted glassware, which I am answering as fast as I can, trying to sell things in the order that offers to buy came in, so if I am slow to respond, it is because I am trying to answer the requests in order that they were made. That seems the most fair way to do it. Once I get caught up with this batch I will try to post a new list as quite a bit has sold lately, and I have a number of pending inquiries, so the list keeps changing.

What's the cost of shipping the UK for say 10/20KG weight?

A 4 lb box to the UK is about $35-36 US. Up to 4 pounds is easy. Over 4 pounds, there are customs forms and the rate is about $8/ pound, but it does go down a bit over 10 pounds. So the short answer is more than most items are worth. But smaller items are much easier to afford, like 14/20 glassware, stir bars, smaller flasks and filters, etc.

I think I have seen some weights like that somewhere in a box, but have absolutely no idea exactly where now, or what wight they were. But I will keep an eye out for them and let you know if I find any.

BTW, I just got about 60 boxes of books in to sort through recently, so I have been backed up a bit on the science supplies, so I have been a bit slow to answer messages. I am trying to get to them as fast as I can, so my apologies if I am slow.

I do have some old chemistry books among them, once I get caught up a bit, I may try to post a list or maybe even scan in a few that might be of interest. Many are too old or too specific to be of general interest, but I think some might be useful. And the bigger ones just take too long to scan in and general massive files. One day I need to learn how to use the software to edit/compress .pdf files.

Not currently. I need to try to finish up cleaning my garage and basement so as to find any remaining boxes. I shoved them everywhere I could when I got this glassware, as I could not fit them all in, so I tended to just stick them in every nook and cranny of my basement, garage, etc. I keep finding boxes under other stuff and behind things.

I would also appreciate a quick recap of what you have available still. The large lot of glassware I ordered from Ebay never came and I had to have Ebay insurance give me my money back

A graduated cylinder (mines only 25mL)
A volumetric flask

I also have this stupid Liebig condenser that is useless until I figure out what to stick in the non-ground glass joint top.

I don't expect you to have most of those, but it's what I need off the top of my head..

To answer a few questions.

I don't have any desiccators left now, sorry. I only had a few.

The list posted on 3-13 (see above) is still mostly correct, almost entirely out of beakers, except for a few small ones, and the shipping to Europe makes them very expensive. What I have lots of still is erlenmeyer flasks, volumetrics, filter flasks, funnels and frits, stirbars, and much more. I am running out of much, but not all 24/40 glassware and beakers.

I have separatory funnels up to 1L and smaller size addition funnels (plus a 2 L one).
24/40 round boiling flasks (50, 100, a few 250 ml)
glass tubing & various rubber stoppers (have a few stoppers left)
chemical vials/storage containers - lots, see list and photos above for some of them.
A male-male 24/40 adapter - yep, have a few types
500mL Buchner flask & funnel - scads of them
A Burrette - might have just found one more, have to make sure the stopcock works.
A graduated cylinder (mines only 25mL) - have all sizes
A volumetric flask - have all sizes

Just send me a u2u with more size desires in the categories, and I can get back with more info, if you have an email address, that works much better, as I can't attach photos or files in u2u's. If people can't open the excel list, I can post a txt file or other format.

Also, since people ask a lot, I normally use Paypal (the Ebay payment system) for purchases, but can arrange to sell via Ebay, Amazon (in some cases), money order, cash, Western Union, gold, etc. I have a few of these items already listed there, but since they charge high fees, the prices are mostly higher then posted here.

Thanks to everyone who has ordered stuff lately, I have been just slammed busy with inquiries, so I have have not gotten back to an u2u or email, please don't hesitate to remind me, as I sometimes just get so many emails that I can lose track of older ones in the shuffle.

Also, PLEASE check your address in PAYPAL anytime that you order anything (from me or elsewhere). If the address there is wrong, change it BEFORE you place the order. According to the Paypal rules, the seller HAS TO use that address for the shipment, although it can be changed within Paypal if caught before shipped.

But once someone pays for something, I try to ship quickly and go to the post office most mornings at 9am. And once it is out of my hands, they will NOT let me have it back or change the address. I have had a surprising number of people use old addresses. I get the same problem with "One Click" orders in Amazon, with books going to students at their old dorm, to their parents address or the last apartment, so as a way to simplify your life, please change your address in every system like Paypal, Amazon, Ebay, etc when you move. Sorry to sound like someone's parent, but I don't read minds well.

I can't remember who was looking for spherical joint adapters a while back, but there is a whole set of them on Ebay for a low price so far, if anyone still wants them. about 10 of them for $10 currently. It is a great price, but still has 3 days left. If I had not sold most of my other spherical joints stuff already, I might bid on it, just to have the needed adapters. I don't know the seller or have any connection, just remember someone u2u'ing me looking for them, and can't figure how to search old u2us (I have >1000).

Here are some dewar flasks that I recently unpacked. There is a box of tall ones, and one of short form ones. There are snapshots and then links (hopefully they work now) to larger view. Those are higher resolution if you download you can see a lot of detail. The prices below are for one, if you are interested in more than one, I can make some deals.

The tall, wide ones are $75, the medium, wide ones are $60, the thin, tall ones are $50, the smaller 80mm dia ID x 65mm deep ($40). I have several of each size.

The short forms are ~170mm dia ID x 125mm deep ($70), 140mm dia ID x 70mm deep ($60) , 110mm dia ID x 70mm deep ($50), 90mm dia ID x 40mm deep ($45), 80mm dia ID x 65mm deep ($40), 80mm dia ID x 30mm deep ($40), 80mm dia ID x 25mm deep ($40), 70mm dia ID x 25mm deep ($35), 65mm dia ID x 25mm deep ($35). I just finally gathered up what I have left of the thermometers, and took some photos for someone, so here they are:

If people want better photos of the glass therms, send me an email and I will send better ones. The glass ones are all Hg, I sold the non Hg ones, the main issue is shipping them, it can be pricy, as Fed Ex is the one who will take them legally. If people can get a few at once, or do a group purchase, the shipping becomes much better. The simple ones are $10-15 each, the 10/30 are $25, there are a few types and ranges.

Also, I have a few electronic thermometers, none have batteries currently, I don't know how well they work, and have not yet tested them in any way, but if someone wants to try one, I can make a good deal, once I get the working myself, the price goes up. Make me an offer. I also have some thermocouples for them, or I can sell them separately.

This batch is all yellow, or type "K", good for high temps, they are yellow usually, and go way above 300C in a linear fashion. I think I have some blue Type "T" ones also but have not yet found them. They would start at about $10, let me know what you are looking for. I cannot provide much technical data, but there is scads on the internet if you Google "thermocouple types".

I'll look, but I am running out of 14/20 stuff. I do think I still have a 14/20 coil reflux condenser left, looks like new, but not sure if I have any liebig type. I also have one or two odd 24/40 condensers left, need to get some photos of what is left, but not much. I still have lots of odd 24/40 pieces, like Clasien adapters, curved extensions, inlet adapters, and other more unique pieces. Many are pictured in the photos back earlier in the thread, but I will try to get some newer photos soon of those as well. I do have LOTS of 14/20 flasks left, mostly in smaller sizes, 5-50 ml, 1-3 necks, round, pear, recovery, etc. I'm happy to give quantity discounts on those.

I might have one or two odd pieces, but I will have to look a bit to see if I have anything complete. I DO have a large fermentation type reactor, I think 20-30 L in size, with many ports, stir inlets, outlets, etc, but I have yet to even unpack it enough to get a good photo, and have no idea exactly what it for. I think I might have a few jacketed pieces, but will have to try to find the box of that type of stuff and look for it. These are the things I put aside at first as they were so large that I could not unpack them and had to idea how to sort them out and list them on my inventory. Now that much of the basic glassware is gone, I am trying to figure out some of he more complex stuff, but it takes longer than I had hoped to go through it, as it is hard to unpack and keep safe once not in a box. But I will keep a lookout for some reactors.

Yes.

I used a propane torch, flux, and solder. I'm assuming you've done this kind of soldering before. The only difficult part was that the solder didn't want to stick to the aerator very well. As I recall the aerator is chrome-plated brass. I suggest removing the chrome first, say with sandpaper, in the area to be joined. It should solder OK then I would think.

Well, successful soldering depends on the quality of the materials and the skill of the operator. Persistance is also important. I'm guessing that your chances of success are rather high. But I can't guarantee anything here.

I have a few water aspirators around somewhere. I have sold them for $5 apiece. The list is close, but I need to update it, once I catch up with a bunch of orders. I will be busy the next two weekends, so I won't get much free time to update things until mid-July.

I keep shipping stuff and then finding yet more stuff in boxes as I can get to them. Just found another box of hardware, mostly 3 prong clamps of all sizes, clamp holders, rings, and some other clamps. It was stinking heavy, and thus put as the bottom box in a large pile of boxes. Also found a few more 24/40 and 14/20 flasks, haven't had time to count them and update my list yet. And I found yet more Dewar flasks and condensers, still trying to get a list of them.

Thanks again to all of the people who have bought stuff and also thanks to the people for their patience, as sometimes I will get a number of emails or orders in one day, and I can only package and ship things a few days a week between my real jobs. But I have made a significant dent in the pile of boxes and can now fit my lawn mower in the garage again. Yea!

I only have 24/40 rbfs left in small sizes, some 50 ml, 100 ml and a few 250 ml left (most of the 250 ml are scratched up a bit or well used).

I am mostly out of hotplates and stirplates, I have a few stirring only plates left, as well as one or two hot plates w/o stirring. I also have a few combo ones that are not working, if I can fix them I will sell them here. Once I get caught up with my current orders, I will try to post photos of the remaining equipment that I have. I have a lot of odd pieces left that I want to test or get photos of before I post them.

I have lots from 60 ml up to 250 ml, and then a few left bigger than that, most of which are either glass stopcock, scratched up, or odd in some way (eg, a 1L w/ a Teflon stopcock, but with a 29/42 joint at the bottom). Let me know what you are interested in, and I can tell you what I have left. I will also try to post what I have left for hotplates soon.

I don't have any sep funnels with 24/40 joints, but do have a 1L one with a 29/42 joint on the bottom, could maybe find an adapter for it. Might also have a non-equilibrated addition funnel left with a 24/40 joint. Don;t have any vac pumps. Still have small rbfs, clamps (3 prong and others), some 24/40 adapters and pieces, as well as lots of basic erlenmeyer flasks, grad cyl, and filter flasks and more. I can send you a text list of the items if you want.

I am running out of most 24/40 glassware. I might have a 24/40 vacuum takeoff adapter left, but out of most larger round bottom flasks, most condensers and columns, and out of heating mantles bigger than 250 ml now.

I do have many sizes of Erlenmeyer flasks, sep funnels and maybe a few reagent bottles in some sizes left. International shipping went up this year, so for some items, like larger flasks, and reagent bottles, that are heavy, it become more than the item costs, and may not be practical.

I will try to post a new list soon, but I am going to be busy and mostly unavailable the next two weeks, so I will not be able to answer u2u's and emails quickly for a little while, so please be aware of that and patient with me. I am trying to finish shipping all current orders out but then will not take new ones for a week or so, until I am finished with another task. Thanks to everyone for their patience.

One example is below, I have some them from 250 ml to 2000 ml, make me an offer. I think they are for fermentation or other biochemistry work. If that is not it, show me a link to one, and I might well have it. I still have lots of stuff I can't yet identify, just have not had time to post photos of it all.

The flask above the boiling flask is the biomass flask. It lets steam enter the bottom and flow over the material and out the top before the condenser. I took me a long time to even find what the name of that weird flask. Addition funnel? Pressure equalizing addition funnel? I am happy to take that separation funnel off your hands. I need a decent sized circa 1L Erlenmeyer with a side arm. I also need a 2L RBF with 2 or 3 necks 24/40 (just asking

) to fit the heating mantle I am working on.

What you are looking for is a bit gimmicky but you can find the 'biomass' flask here and there. In the spring you might find more sellers as this stuff seem to be more popular then. DP glassblowing had some for a time( flask and the connencting adapter) and of course there are the boutique shops like heartmagic distiller ( Google for the link) . Failing everything else in this comment a standard Chromatography reservoir can be used and you will simply need to cope with the opening sizing. A local glassblower would be willing to make you one , possibly. I personally( as I own much of the other needed labware already) would buy from United glass Tech if Dr Bob Can't help. ebay shop link: http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-2000ml-Bio-flask-45-50-Top-24-40... but I don't know if they carry the one piece arm adapter at the moment( usually has the larger joint for the bio flask and leads to a more common joint size for the condenser) Avogadro's lab supply sells a glass kit with the bio flask but they call it an Alembic.
