I'm not after a scrap over the use of Fenton's reagent to destroy Toluene, but this sounds like supposition to me.  The process, IIRC, produces a lot of oxygen rich gas which would carry off toluene vapour.  Not great for people to use inside and a fire hazard.  A bigger problem for me is that Toluene dissolves in water very badly, so while this may be facile for treating contaminated waste water it sounds very inefficient for bulk disposal.[[User:Marvin|Marvin]] ([[User talk:Marvin|talk]]) 13:03, 16 June 2016 (UTC)

:Yeah, I think I should have added more details, instead of just "when in doubt, use Fenton's", especially when there might be undesired side effects during the neutralization. A few articles, like [https://www.researchgate.net/publication/259783650_Removal_of_VOCs_in_waste_gas_by_the_photo-Fenton_reaction_Effects_of_dosage_of_Fenton_reagents_on_degradation_of_toluene_gas_in_a_bubble_column this one], mention the neutralization of toluene, with the help of UV light, and toluene is not added in bulk.
